On a more serious note, it's becoming inconvenient having to keep on unsubscribing arenas from My Arenas. That tab and the My Subscription drop down are acting like the Recently Visited list.
I like the idea of being able to have a group of my own arenas in one quickly accessible spot. As it says in the site introduction, "We wanted to make a place where people could feel they were a part of micro-communities surrounding specific topics interesting to them..."
The ones with check marks are the only ones I wanted in My arenas. The Cave one doesn't do anything but lead back to the present page.
Would you please consider modifying the present concept so that the only arenas shown in My Arenas and My Subscriptions are the ones I chose. Thanks!
I think what happens, (and I'm obviously not the coder) is when you reply to a thread in an arena you are not subscribed to, it automatically subscribes you to that arena.
I completely agree though, would like to see it only add those which you specifically select.

This is correct. If you take any action in an arena, you join that arena.
Errr, but then that doesn't make it "My" arena, it makes it "any arena you go to we're going to subscribe you to whether you want it or not". :) That defeats the whole idea of individualizing the site.
I was just thinking about this as I am subscribed to all the arenas, and it has happened that I have missed voting on contests that have ended, and I actually thought they were still open for submitting (my how time flies)
I see the hat contest and wonder how I missed seeing the contest was even open for voting. So obviously I have too much stuff on my page.
so what to do?
I need Photography to be the priority for me. Photoshop would be second, and then down the list it goes.
This may be a stretch, and something to think about in future versions of W#K
but, maybe we could have something where we could prioritize arenas, so the most important ones came up first. Or figured most prominently in what was displayed on the home page.

honestly I think I have been so busy looking at all the other contests that I don't normally look at it just slipped by.

:D Or he could make #Photography his "My Arena" along with a few selcted others and have it all in one place!

Aww, Kookaburra, it's not that I don't like MultiMedia but I'm a minimalist at heart. Simple elegance is what I like, perhaps that's why I enjoy your work so much. ;)
Without that ability to edit I'll just have to reply to say that I can't get rid of the Cave tag because it keeps bringing me back to the same page I'm on when I click the tag. It's not so much an annoyance as it is a tease, lol.
